Overwriting existing files

Now that we've modified the 'Posting with FTP' file (yes, we did!), you'll replace the old one on the remote site with the new one from the local site.

Notice that the time last modified for this file on the local site (under the 'Date' heading) is 3:46. The one on the remote site says 3:08. This confirms that the file on the left is a newer file.

You can use the right-pointing arrow button again to transfer the file. Or, you can just double-click the filename on the local side.

Now you've replaced the older file with the updated one. This can be very useful for updating things like a weekly schedule, a new syllabus, a calendar of upcoming events, things like that.
