The FTP How-to, or How To FTP is intended to be not a comprehensive guide to the use of FTP, but a quick reference for those without extensive technical knowledge who want to use FTP to transfer updated files to an existing web site. It's a supplement to my work as an intern at Hillsborough Community College, and is my first exercise in producing a how-to manual.

It's designed for, directed to and inspired by my clients, professors who want their students to have every possible resource available, and every chance at success in school and life. I must express my gratitude to them, not only for teaching and counseling me, but for giving me the opportunity to experience the joy of teaching them, and to learn something about what teaching is like. Barry and Margo, you've proved that not only do students make for good teachers, but teachers can be good students.

And of course, I must also thank Dr. Wells for her sound advice, valuable assistance, good cheer, and nearly infinite patience throughout the pleasant years of our association. (She hasn't graded this yet.)
